M-Bus and I/O to LoRaWAN®

Digital Remote Reading of Consumption Data via LoRaWAN® – with Pulse and M-Bus Inputs

Converters

Pulse radio converters enable the digitalization of existing metering infrastructures and provide reliable remote reading of consumption data from a wide range of metering devices. They acquire pulse signals or M-Bus data, process them for digital use, and transmit consumption information via modern wireless technologies. This allows water, heat, gas, and electricity meters to be efficiently integrated into remote meter reading and smart metering systems without replacing existing meters.

As requirements for energy efficiency, digitalization, and automated consumption data collection continue to increase, intelligent radio converters are becoming increasingly important. They provide the link between conventional meters and modern IoT networks, reduce the need for manual meter reading, and enable continuous, transparent collection of consumption data. At the same time, they support efficient management of metering points and provide the basis for digital billing, monitoring, and building management solutions.

The Supercom P LoRaWAN® Pulse Radio Converter enables remote reading of pulse meters and wired M-Bus metering devices across a wide range of utility applications. With two pulse inputs and an integrated M-Bus master interface, up to two M-Bus devices can be connected and their consumption data reliably transmitted via LoRaWAN®. In addition, integrated status inputs detect events such as tampering and reverse flow and make this information available for digital analysis.

The Supercom P can be flexibly adapted to individual metering requirements via its NFC interface. Parameters such as medium, unit, transmission intervals, radio activity, and telegram type can be conveniently configured. The combination of versatile meter connectivity, intelligent data acquisition, and modern LoRaWAN® communication makes the Supercom P a future-proof solution for energy utilities, housing companies, metering service providers, and operators of modern smart building and remote meter reading systems.
